I’ll get up soon, but for just a few more moments, I’ll get up soon, but for just a few more moments, I’ll stay right here. In one of my happiest happy places. In a place that feels just like me.

With writing and coffee, with possibility and magic. With words I don’t know I’ll write, until I write them. ✨

“Love your material. Nothing frightens the inner critic more than the writer who loves her work.” — Allegra Goodman
We can’t fill a gap we don’t have. When capacity We can’t fill a gap we don’t have.

When capacity feels low, creating empty space can feel completely counterintuitive; I already don’t have enough time, and now you want me to do LESS?!

But space isn’t wasted.

Space gives your mind, body and nervous system somewhere to breathe.

It gives ideas somewhere to land.

It reminds you that not every moment needs to be filled.

This is a snippet from the last module in my new CAPACITY Course inside my membership. 🙌🏻

In this course, we’re creating intentional pockets of spaciousness ,and remembering that space itself can create capacity.

Your invitation: create a gap.

Today, 👏🏻 intentionally leave something empty. 👏🏻

Maybe it’s five minutes between tasks where you don’t pick up your phone.

Maybe you lie on the couch and do... nothing. (I know, what?!)

Sit outside with a cup of tea, or just look up at the sky, and breathe.

Arrive somewhere five minutes early. (This, I need to work on!)

Close your eyes.

Put your hand on your heart.

Do nothing.

You can also try the physical version from the lesson: empty one drawer, shelf or small space in your home, and don’t refill it.

Let yourself know:

✨ There is space available to me. ✨

And when you notice the urge to immediately fill the gap, come back to:

Space not used is not space wasted.

Hi 👋🏻 So, today is the day I officially start writ Hi 👋🏻 So, today is the day I officially start writing my next book. 🤗

I feel so nervous to say that out loud, because the book only dropped in like 5 days ago.

But I’ve known it’s been swirling for years, I just had no clue what it would be about. (Or maybe one clue. But not really.)

And now I know.

I can see the whole thing. Front to back. First page to last.

And so I’m starting. ✨

I don’t have a perfect plan, but I know I don’t need one.

I don’t have days and days to write, but I know I only need focused, intentional pockets.

I’m not scared to write it. I’m much more afraid of keeping it all inside me.

I have so much more to say, but first, I need to write. ✍🏻

I’ll keep you updated, okay?

And I’ll leave you with this, a quote from my OG writing mentor, Alexandra Franzen:

“Just say what is true. Say it with love. Say it as simply as you can.”

Yep. That’s the plan x
