Don’t focus on getting it right. Focus on gettin Don’t focus on getting it right. Focus on getting it out. I love seeing the amazing things that happen for my clients when they shift their focus away from trying to get things ‘right’ (see also: perfect), to instead, getting their work out. Instead of perfecting their message, they move with the wisdom and knowledge that’s flowing through them now, expressing this with clear and aligned action. And the more they do this, the more they know and deepen their own message. The more they know and deepen their own message, the easier it becomes to express themselves and show up with this work. And the easier it gets, the more they do it. (A positive feedback cycle if ever I’ve seen one.) When you focus on getting it out, instead of getting it right, you create the conditions that allow for momentum and growth to find you, and sustain you, as you sustain the momentum and growth too. (Ooh, another positive feedback cycle. I’m seeing a theme here.) ✨ Like my client who was thinking about a launch plan for her upcoming program. On a call together, and after coaching a bit to create some energetic space, I lightly suggested she could send a pre-launch invitation email out to her clients, before she even considered launching publicly. She felt into this, felt aligned with the idea, we mapped some details, and then she jumped off the call and took action. She messaged me a few days later; she’d signed 3 clients in 3 days, meaning her new program already had clients and flow, months before the official start date. Ah, exhale. ✨ Or like my client who shifted the model and delivery of her signature program without over-working, by using past coaching calls as the core materials, and not trying to re-do the entire body of work when she’d actually already created it. Ah, exhale. ✨ And like my client who discovered an entirely new methodology for her work, while sitting in the creative process of doing her work. Not by thinking about it, but by being in it. So much so that she felt months of stress fall away, because her path to growth in her industry felt so much clearer, calmer and closer. So much shifts when you shift first.
Have you ever wondered if you’re ‘ready’ yet Have you ever wondered if you’re ‘ready’ yet? Have you ever thought to yourself: I’ll just wait until I’m more confident, educated or knowledgeable? When I know more, when I’ve done more, when I’m more experienced… that’s when I’ll be ready! Let me nudge you gently with this truth: if that’s how you think, there’ll be no difference between being ready… or not. Why? Because if you don’t think you’re ready today, what’s going to change between now and ‘then’ unless you change your beliefs, yourself? I’m not talking about a student doctor thinking they can go off into surgery before they’ve graduated. Yeah, they’re not ready. But you? You’re ready. If you tell yourself you’re not ready today, you’ll also tell yourself you won’t be ready tomorrow. It may seem counterintuitive, but starting before you’re ready brings so much contentment, flow, inner peace and confidence. Because you’re doing it. That thing you really want to be doing? You’re really doing it. When I graduated as a nutritionist, I looked for an admin job and threw myself into the search, emailing countless clinic. Instead, I came up with an offer to become the one and only nutritionist at a wellness clinic. I immediately said yes, and I started exactly a month after graduating. Was I ready? I wasn’t sure… but I knew I wanted to get started. I knew that not starting would feel much worse than the nerves that moving outside of my comfort zone something would bring. The thought of showing up for myself and my dreams every day propelled me forward. I could handle the self-doubt by using the energy of it to keep me moving forwards. I could manage my worries about ‘what if’ with the comfort of knowing I was doing what felt right, even if it felt scary too. (Because you can feel expansion and fear at the time same.) I could handle it all by trusting myself to give it a go. I couldn’t handle the opposite; holding myself back out of fear and not even letting myself even try to move towards my potential. The thought of that hurt so much more. What about you? If you’re scared to try, how is it hurting you? And what might happen if you simply gave it a go?
