We’re so often told to release expectations. Bu We’re so often told to release expectations. But yesterday, in our first Writing Room session, I invited everyone to do the opposite—to reclaim them. Because expectations don’t have to be rooted in pressure, fear, or control. 
They can be rooted in confidence, self-trust, and energetic congruence. Intentions are the soft open-handed invitations: ✨ I intend to trust my creative voice.
✨ I intend to show up and see what wants to be written. Empowered expectations are the grounded, confident anchors: 🙌🏻 I expect creativity to meet me halfway, because I show up for it.
🙌🏻 I expect myself to honour my creative time, because my art deserves that commitment. This is the energy I’m bringing into The Writing Room for you to sit in, and soak up; no fear, no forcing, no hustle. 
Just clear, confident co-creation. It’s not “I’ll try.” 
It’s “I will.” 
It’s not “I hope this works.” 
It’s “I expect it to, because I trust myself.” You’re not doing your creative work alone. 
Creativity is its own energy field—and when you show up for it, it always shows up for you. This week, I invited my writers to set both intention and empowered expectation for our 8 weeks together. I love intentions, because they create openness. 
And I love empowered expectations, because they meet, match, and then raise the energy you’re bringing to your work. 
Together, they form the foundation of a confident creative life, biz, and body of work. Because when you join The Writing Room, you’re not just “getting some writing done.”
