Feeling so grateful to be here. My past self is Feeling so grateful to be here. My past self is watching on in awe. She can’t believe the home we’ve built. The couch we sit on (IT’S SO SQUISHY). The meals I cook while wrangling the kids (even if the meal is scrambled eggs and cous cous and they only eat the cous cous—the food so nice, they named it twice!). She can’t believe the move was THAT HARD but we did it. She can’t believe she gets both kids to sleep solo, mostly without huge dramas. (The dramas are more in the transitions before bedtime. 🫠) She can’t believe the mum guilt when she’s not the mummy she wants to be—but she’s working on it. Every day. And she repairs like a MOFO. With her babies and importantly, with herself too. She can’t (well she kinda can actually) believe her business has stayed so steady, so supportive, even in moments of uncertainty, loss, and fear. She is so proud that her business is feeding her babies. Paying bills. Even though she’s got other support too, and there’s room to grow (and grow she will), she’s doing it. Now. She’s looking on in awe and she’s so fucking grateful, and so fucking proud. She knows there’s so much good here for her to receive. And more coming too. Even on the hard days. Because she can hold more than one truth at the time (and often, many, many more than that. Also bags. Many, many bags). 🫶🏻
